SCOLIOSIS RESEARCH SOCIETY (SRS)

The Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) is a global organization established in 1966 with 37 founding members. It has since become one of the most respected spine societies worldwide. The SRS is dedicated to advancing research and education in the area of spinal deformities. To uphold this mission, the society enforces rigorous membership standards. Today, its membership comprises over 1,600 top spine surgeons, researchers, physician assistants, and orthotists who are actively engaged in the research and treatment of spinal deformities.

 

Prof. Alanay has been involved in SRS initiatives since 2004, serving in roles such as Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors (2014-2016) and Chair of the Worldwide Conference Committee (2010-2013). He has held numerous key leadership roles within the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), including Chair of the IMAST Committee and Meeting (2022), Chair of Global Education for Spinal Deformity (2020-2022), and Chair of Hands-On Courses (2018-2021). He has also contributed to various committees over the years, including the Education, Safety & Value, and Worldwide Conference Committees, among others.
